Routes

  • Visiting the historic center of Naples means going through twenty centuries of history. The alleys, squares, churches, monuments, public buildings and castles are a treasure trove of artistic and historical treasures of exceptional magnitude. All can be visited on foot reaching, starting from the structure and in 5 minutes, and going along the ancient decumani of Via Tribunali and Via S. Biagio dei librai. Naples map
  • To admire the remains of the two cities buried by the lava of Vesuvius in 79 d. C., starting from the structure, in the underground station Museo, take direction P.zza Garibaldi (10 minutes). Arrived at the Central Station, take the Circumvesuviana train and get off at the stations of Ercolano (15 minutes) or later Pompeii (30 minutes) ). Consult the timetable. Vesuviana timetables
  • See closely the most famous volcano in the way and know that it is still active leaves you breathless. To reach it, starting from the structure, take the Circumvesuviana train and get off at the station of Ercolano (15 minutes). From there buses direct to Vesuvius.   • Capodimonte is the name of the hill on which stands, surrounded by a beautiful park the Royal Palace, historical residence of the Bourbons of Naples, but also of the Bonaparte and Murat as well as the Savoy. It is home to one of the most beautiful museums in the world, with works of inestimable value from the '200 to modern art, through Caravaggio, Vasari, Titian and many others. To reach it, starting from the structure, just cross the road and take the shuttle Capodimonte (20 minutes), in front of the stairs of the National Museum. Closed on wednesday.   • Amalfi coast - Sorrento, Amalfi and Positano To admire the towns of the famous Amalfi coast, starting from the structure, in the underground station Museo, take direction P.zza Garibaldi (10 minutes). At the Central Station take the Circumvesuviana train and get off at Sorrento station (45 minutes) By bus

Palazzo Solimena is located in a strategic position to visit and experience the city.

Just cross the road to:

  • reach the National Archaeological Museum
  • the underground line 1 "Museum" and line 2 "Cavour"
  • the stop for: city sightseeing, Capodimonte Museum shuttle;
  • bus stop;
  • taxi stop;
  • tourist info point
  • just a few minutes the Montesanto Funicular to reach the Certosa di San Martino and Castel Sant Elmo.

A few steps from the ancient center where there are all the oldest churches:

  • Santa Chiara with the cloister,
  • the New Jesus,
  • San Domenico Maggiore,
  • Chapel of San Severo,

the famous street of the cribs San Gregorio Armeno;

Napoli Sotterranea;

the old pizzerias, restaurants of all kinds.

 

Passing Piazza Dante, which is 400 meters away, you reach the market of Pignasecca, the Spagnoli neighborhoods and along the central Via Toledo one of the main shopping streets, you reach the port where are the embarkations for the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.
